Everyday it becomes more and more accepted to opt for fetish wear on a daily basis; extremely high heels, leather trousers, harnesses, spikes.. and now patent leather at London; and totally not tacky. Actually I was drawn to patent even when it was not a trend, the shiny exterior is so damn edgy that it appealed to me. Glad to see it on the runway now; stealing the spotlight at Topshop Unique with bold colors such as yellow and red, still in a minimal identity at Richard Nicoll, extremely edgy (kind of Ada Kokosar style) at Marios Schwab and portraying lady fetish in brown at Jonathan Saunders. Lets see if we keep on seeing it…
